  After several phone calls back and forth we finally found a day and time that worked for myself to have a walk through. Being an educator I saw things I particularly did not like, but also being a mom I saw things I definitely did not like. When I first arrived at the gate someone walked to the gate, opened the gate, and walked away. Never did they ask my name or why I was there. I heard a little boy screaming and crying when I walked in which I figured is what happens. I went into the office where a lady was too busy pushing paper around to even fully acknowledge me. She handed me off to a teacher that walked me to the under two room, where I finally met the boy crying. My 18 month old immediately ran over to him and tried handing him blocks which soothed him and his face full of snot, which they never cleaned the entire time I was in the room. BOTH TEACHERS IN THIS ROOM WERE LEANING ON A SINK OR WALL CHIT CHATTING AND THEY BOTH HAD CELL PHONE IN HAND OR ON THE COUNTER. This is a huge no no for this mom and teacher. Neither woman were trying to soothe the crying toddler until I asked him what was wrong. The lady giving me a tour then walked me back to the office where I was asked if I saw the other classrooms and stated no. She got up and took me which I was much more pleased with those teachers and how they were actually interacting with the children. They do not have cameras but I'm sure if they did you would see more of the standing around on cell phones. My son did not go to school here because of what I saw. Normally, when someone has a tour you want to wow them but if you aren't embarrassed to show you do nothing while a parent is there I wonder what happens when it's just them in the room. We found another school where you don't have to schedule a tour you just show up and are highly impressed. Don't let their we give individual education plans to each kid fool you. Ask them to see one of those plans. I debated for a long time on calling the director and telling her how highly disappointed I was in her program, but figured other parents need to be aware of what I saw. Change your program or staff.
