  Priorities with the installer crew seem to be all about everyone else but you. The installing crew lead by a guy named Cuba is a liar and untrustworthy. Since September 2017 we’ve been trying to get windows installed (2nd floor). Granted hurricane Irma put things behind but we were patient. Finally in mid-October, they came out. During installation they broke one of the new windows. They left debris around with debris and glass in rain gutters over my garage. We also discovered our water hose was left running after they left. It took over a month to get the last window installed. One week he had a family emergency and rescheduled for the following week. Then the excuse was, he forgot his ladder. Next day a guy called in so he had to fill in. I made some calls and demanded the excuses stop and get out here to install the last window. That day 2 guys showed up to finish the job. One day I stopped at Window World and I asked the lady about priorities. She actually told me she was frustrated and that she was setting the priorities but Cuba was changing things around. Since the last window was finally installed, I waited weeks for them to come back to fix a broken latch and voids in the caulking and so on. Also, at the beginning of the job, Cuba asked me about the storm shutter rails. He wanted to know if I wanted to keep them up since they aren’t necessary with the new impact windows. I said I do in case we had a strong enough storm and wanted to put shutters up. Well, on the last window they installed, they didn’t run the bolts all the way back in all the way. So that was another concern to fix. He argued they are not responsible. If they did it for the other windows, why not this one? On 26-Dec, I happened to find the last old window laying in the brush in a vacant lot next to my house. He originally apologized about it. I also informed Window World and showed pictures. Since Cuba couldn’t commit fully to the requirements of fixing all the issues, his tune changed. So I threatened to call the Sheriff’s office for illegal dumping. He said we were asked what to do with that window and that we said to put on the side of the house. 1. Why would they ask such a question when it was never asked during the original install. Heck, up until the time I threatened to make the call, Cuba and everyone else kept apologizing. 2. We paid for the disposal of the old windows. 3. The vacant lot is not the side of my house. So that in turn shows no integrity and reflects his character. He may think this post is factually incorrect but nothing here that I’ve said is untrue and I have reported these things to Window World. To finally finish this off, he was scheduled to show on 12-Jan from 3-5 pm. It was almost 5 when I had to contact him to learn he wasn’t coming due to weather. Bad weather already past. So he finally agreed the following Wednesday, 17-Jan, at 8 am. I told him I can only do mornings that week. Monday, 15-Jan came and I got a text at 3:40 pm that he’s in the area. By time I could respond, he showed up when I wasn’t there. My wife was told that I said it was ok. When I said tomorrow morning would be best. So that was a lie. I wanted to be there to go over everything and take the blinds down in one of the bedrooms to fix caulking. He didn’t fix everything saying it’s not their responsibility. So why is it they fixed some things but since they had to come out again it’s a different story for the same type of issue? Let’s not forget they failed first inspection. I offer this one warning. If you go with Window World, PLEASE do yourself a favor. DO NOT turn in the finance paperwork until you are happy that everything is complete and no other issues. It was a lesson learned. If they want the money, they need to complete the job. No one seems to really care except to apologize. Remember the crew mentioned and ask who will be installing the windows. Otherwise, they people at Window World are nice and polite and the windows so far seem to be a very nice upgrade to the house.
